BetrayingTheEnemy Pt.7 Sonadow

"I thought you said you were going to let Sonic go!" yelled a pissed off Shadow
"Easy Shadow, remember YOU work for ME, and did you really expect me to keep my word?"
Sonic's head was barely above the water
"SHADOW HELP!" yelped Sonic
Shadow yelled "CHAOS SPEAR!" and aimed it at the tank
It ricocheted off the glass
"But how?!" yelled Shadow
"My dear hedgehog, I am not as stupid as you think I a-"
The spear went directly to Eggman
"Apparently, you are." Shadow said in a low voice
When he turned his attention back to the tank, Sonic was already underwater, his body trying to float to the surface as if he was a dead fish
He jumped to the top of the tank, and dove in
Sonic opened his eyes slightly, the water was making his vision blurry
The last thing he saw was Shadow freeing him from his trap, before everything went black
*****Later*****
Sonic felt a breeze that made him cold
He opened his eyes, and realised he was laying in a field, soaking wet
Shadow was standing a few feet in front of him, looking in the distance at the now trashed Eggman's base
"That's what you get for hurting the one person that I care for other than Maria." Shadow said to himself, arms crossed
Sonic smiled, because he heard Shadow as clearly as if he had just yelled that
Not thinking, Sonic ran up to Shadow and hugged him from behind
Shadow turned around, about to punch the attacker, but noticed that a certain blue hedgehog was hugging him, and smiling
He blushed, and slowly hugged Sonic back
From that point on, the 2 were no longer enemies
Instead they were 2 best friends, and lovers.
